Bubby’s Kitchen
A work in progress, this build-out is very interesting to us. As we attempt to “go green” more and more, we have enlisted the talented Riki Bowden to design and build our bench seating.
It is constructed of local cord wood, mortared together with local clay and stray. Accented with beach driftwood, and up against a wall covered in natural plaster, this area of the restaurant will be very much appealing.
Of course, our intention is to present a delightful vista throughout the space.
The layer of “cob” on top of the wood will be smoothed out by hand, formed a little to be comfortable and then finished and buffed.
