No Photos!
I cannot seem to get this blog really going. My apologies.
I am also unable to remember to take photos of the new location as it rises. At this time the walls are up, the roof is on and the interior is slowly (in this weather it’s tough) drying out.
We surveyed the basement today and discussed options with the architect, mechanical engineer, contractor, foreman and the refrigeration supplier. They worked well together with the developer to come up with a plan to ensure that we all ended up happy, and future apartment dwellers upstairs will be content.
One note about the City and rules: we are permitted to have 56 seats as a result of the space we occupy. On the other hand, because we “only” have tow washrooms, we may only have 50 seats. HOWEVER, the number 50 must include expected staff on site! So, that means that each washroom can “service” 25 people. If we installed another washroom we could add another fifty (50) patrons!!! Go figure.
Anyway, likely the space will be available for us to begin our TI’s (tenant improvements) in the beginning of March. Yikes - we have a lot to do before we start.
